Ana Resende is a senior officer at Directorate General for Territory, with a degree in Geography by the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa. She currently works as the National URBACT Point for Portugal.
In the beginning of her career and for more than 15 years she worked in urban and regional matters, having participated in many books, studies and reports. After that, she began working on the follow-up of Master Plans for Portuguese municipalities.
In the meanwhile she inflicted her work on the management of National and European programmes as project manager. For five years she managed more than 100 investment contracts with Portuguese municipalities. For seven years she worked at the National Management Unit for the EEA Grants programme in Portugal, including one year as acting Coordinator. She was also the Portuguese Contact Point for the EUKN programme for a short time.
For 13 years and at the same time she held public positions, she was the manager of a family fishing company in the harbour of Figueira da Foz. Later on, she held several trainings on Management and Accounting.
