Tom Becker has a MA in Social Sciences with a major in Human Geography from Umeå Universitet (Sweden) and a BA in History from Queen Mary, University of London (UK). Since 2008 he works as a research associate at the Geography and Spatial Planning research centre at the University of Luxembourg. He was in charge of the Cellule nationale d’Information pour la Politique Urbaine (CIPU – National Information Unit for Urban Policy) from 2008 to 2014. He is also URBACT NDP in Luxembourg. His research interests include urban policy and urban planning in Luxembourg and in Europe, urban policy transfer and policy mobilities as well as integrated and sustainable urban policies.
