Aidan is a sociologist trained at the University of Ljubljana and Leuphana University of Lüneburg. His main research topic has been public participation in spatial planning. He is employed at IPoP – Institute for Spatial Policies where he is involved in projects and research dealing with urban development. He has expertise in urban regeneration, civic participation, planning with the community, and urban mobility. He had been working at the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region. He regularly gives lectures at Slovenian and foreign universities and regularly speaks at national and international conferences. He is an author of several articles. Aidan is a founding member of Library of Things, a social innovation service established in Ljubljana, and has been in charge of the process of public participation in preparation of Sustainable urban mobility plan of the City of Ljubljana.
